Stay Cool AND Covered in the Summer Heat

Filed under Fashion Look Your Best on Jun 25 12 by

Summer fashion often means shorter shorts and tinier tank tops. It can be tough to find the fine line between keeping cool and exposing too much skin—especially if you are getting dressed for work! Here are some easy outfits that will keep you cool and covered in the summer heat.

The Maxidress

This dress is my kind of dress. It flows, and its thin material just right for summer. I added the crochet vest to add an extra layer and make the outfit work appropriate.

Chambray Top

This dress has a tank as the top half. So instead of opting for the usual cardigan, I choose my trusted chambray top. I rolled up the sleeves and tied it at the waist. The chambray is very light weight and breathable for summer.

Maxi Skirt and Tee

This skirt is actually a dress. I tucked in the top half in to the skirt added a t-shirt and belted it. I feel feminine and the cotton is very comfortable. This is a total win in my book.

I hope these few tricks help you enjoy the warm weather while looking fabulous and feeling modest!

Very cute….I am so not a dress kinda gal, but this summer I do find myself enjoying a beautiful sleeveless maxi dress that I throw a very thin crochet sweater over and I love love LOVE it!! Adding a few well matched accessories and I’m ready for anything. I’m thinking I need more though, and I love what you did with the 3rd look, turning the dress into a skirt….awesome way to totally change up a look!! A wardrobe can go so much farther with tips and tricks like that. Total thumbs up!!!
