Summer to Fall Style

Filed under Fashion Look Your Best on Sep 04 12 by

It’s time to say ‘Hello, Fall’! That fabulous season is back once again, filled with dreams of cool weather, scarves, jackets, boots, and pumpkin spice lattes—yum! As the stores begin to shift their focus from t-shirts and shorts into pants and cozy sweaters, there’s always that question of what to do with all those cute sundresses and other pieces you loved all through summer. Here’s a few ways you can create the trendy fall looks using pieces you’ve already got!

1. Striped Dress + Scarf + Boots

Nautical chic was a huge trend this summer, and it’s a great look to transition into fall. Pair your cute striped dress with a floral scarf in the same color family to make the simple shift from summer into fall without a hitch. Add on some fall-trending accessories like a stack of colored bangles or layered gold necklaces. Swap out your sandals for some flat boots or oxfords to make it look like a new season’s purchase! Simple and chic.

2. Bright Colors + Matchstick Pants + Loafers

Summer’s bright shades were such fun, and there’s no need to pack them away just yet. Pair a punch pink top with fall’s hottest pant trend: the matchstick pant. These are a chic alternative to leggings or your jeans. Look for a slim cut leg in a fabric that has some stretch, so it hugs your figure. Balance the look with a flowing blouse, throw on a crossbody satchel to keep your hands free while running errands, and layer on a chunky gold necklace for added shine. Loafers are returning to the fall fashion scene once again, and nothing is more stylish than a fun leopard print!

3. Peplum top + Sequin mini + Denim Jacket

So you’re probably wondering what to do with that cute mint peplum top you purchased this summer (I sure am!). Lucky for all of us, this trend isn’t going away just yet, so hold onto your peplums, ladies! I gave mine a fresh look for fall by pairing it with a fun sequin mini in a great aztec print. You’ll be seeing prints take center stage this fall as they are portrayed on pants, jeans, skirts and more. To keep things from looking too sweet and pastel, a denim jacket adds a bit of texture to the overall look. Lengthen and slim your figure with a pair of nude wedges.
