Homemade Pico de Gallo

You will need:
- One large tomato
- One medium red onion
- Green onion (to taste)
- Fresh cilantro (About 2 tbsp chopped)
- Fresh garlic (about 1 tbsp minced) or garlic salt
- Small jalapeño pepper
- Salt and pepper(to taste)
Directions:
- Dice tomato and red onion. If you’re new to this, here’s some great instructions for how to dice a tomato. Add to medium-sized mixing bowl.
- Chop cilantro, green onion, and jalapeño pepper. If you want a spicy pico, add the entire pepper (or even a second one!). If you prefer mild, add just half of the pepper. Add ingredients to bowl along with lime juice and garlic. Mix ingredients.
- Finally, add salt and pepper, to taste.
How to eat your pico de gallo:
- As a dip for your tortilla chips
- Inside of a quesadilla
- As a topping for grilled chicken or fish
- Add to homemade guacamole
